Where coffee becomes an experience.
A Colombian-born brand identity that merges design, storytelling, and the spirit of the coffee culture into a unique laboratory of flavors and emotions.

Project Overview
MA Coffee Lab was created as a laboratory of experiences around coffee. The brand’s essence combines the richness of Colombian coffee culture with modern experimentation. My role was to design a complete visual identity system and the official website, both conceived to grow flexibly across merchandise, events, packaging, and digital platforms.
The centerpiece is the logo, where the letters M and A form a Chemex – an iconic coffee brewing method – symbolizing both precision and artistry. This seal-like logo was designed to work as a versatile stamp, adaptable across print, digital, and merchandising applications.
Brand iDentity
- The color palette draws inspiration directly from Colombian coffee landscapes:
- Terracotta (#EF663B): Energy of fertile soil and roasted beans.
- Espresso Brown (#5F2408): Depth and richness of coffee essence.
- Toasted Honey (#A86620): Sweetness and warmth of tradition.
- Cherry Red (#D11409): The coffee cherry in its purest form.
- Leaf Green (#278063): The vitality of coffee plants.
- Soft Cream (#F2E9DC): Smoothness of milk and crema.
This palette ensures a vibrant yet earthy mood, connecting the brand to its roots while staying bold and experimental.
Illustration & Icons
Beyond the logo, I hand-illustrated a series of icons to enrich the brand language. These icons are inspired by coffee, nature, and cultural elements from the coffee-growing regions of Colombia.
The wolf (“La Loba”) is the central illustrated character and the soul of the brand – representing instinct, strength, and connection with nature. It stands as an emblem of inspiration and guides the storytelling for future brand expansions.

Website Design
I also designed and developed the official website for MA Coffee Lab, creating a digital space that reflects the laboratory spirit of the brand.
The site combines:
- A minimal yet vibrant layout inspired by the brand palette.
- Custom iconography to guide the user through experiences, events, and products.
- A clear and immersive storytelling structure connecting the visitor with the culture and landscapes of Colombian coffee.
- A flexible system prepared to host event booking, merchandising, and storytelling content.
The website acts as the digital laboratory hub, extending the brand experience beyond physical spaces.
Applications
The MA Coffee Lab identity and website were designed as a multi-purpose system ready to adapt to:
- Coffee packaging and labels
- Merchandise (mugs, tote bags, t-shirts, stickers, pins)
- Event branding and promotional materials
- Digital presence (website, social media, newsletters)
The logo seal becomes the anchor for brand recognition, always adaptable in color but consistent in form, giving every piece a stamp of authenticity.
